We are holding a five week block of information and support sessions for families, beginning on Wednesday 7th November 2017. The course which will run for five consecutive Wednesday evenings is open to anyone caring for a loved one with dementia.
We will explore a range of topics including an overview of dementia, communication, occupation, legal issues and changing relationships. There are lots of opportunities for sharing experiences and discussion with others in similar situations. The sessions are held from 7-9.30 pm in Mallow Primary Care Centre.
Multiple members of a family can attend though we look for a commitment that at least one family member attends each week.
For more information or to book a place, contact Sheena (086 787 1818) or Amy (086 7812217) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We have been facilitating these sessions since 2011 and feedback is always extremely positive.
Comments from those who have attended include:
‘We felt lucky to have been able to complete the carers course with you and felt we gained a valuable insight into this condition and how best to be of help’
‘Found whole course very helpful in a relaxed environment. No two dementia sufferers alike, interesting to hear about other peoples experiences’
