Six weeks of dementia information sessions for families

New Alzheimer Cafe, Newmarket, 6th October

The Newmarket/Kanturk Alzheimer Café which launching on Thursday 6th October 11am-1pm. The guest speaker this month is Amy Murphy, Dementia Advisor with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Public information evening – 21st September 2022

To celebrate World Alzheimer Day we are working with the HSE Community Work Department and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland to host a public information evening on Wednesday 21st September 2022. Pilot Exercising for the Brain group

We are piloting a six week Exercising for the Brain group in September for people with dementia. Shane Simcox of Simox Rehabilitation will be facilitating the sessions. Shane specialises in exercise rehabilitation classes for people with neurological conditions and the group will focus on exercises that improve balance, co-ordination, range of movement and strength.
